It has been a crazy week at school. We had a "rain day" on Tuesday, which was also the planned day for the boys Sports Day. It never rains in Oman; we have Sports Day once a year ... what are the odds. Sports Day was cancelled that morning as we had thunder and lightning just as we were getting ready to leave the school to go to the stadium (nice stadium, 3500 seats - it's kind of neat to be there on the field, even without a crowd!). School was cancelled at about 9:30, buses were called in - some did not arrive until about 1 pm, and some of the kids that were getting picked up by parents/drivers were there until about 2 pm. They wouldn't do well with Snow Days!!
Other than that, it's been quiet. Jacqui and I are still trying to catch up on work and shit to be done. We are so looking forward to a quiet weekend, or two, three, ... It seems that everything has been so hectic since before the Christmas holidays; trying to spend time with family and friends, coming back to Oman, going to Bangkok for a job fair, Jacqui getting a job in Bangkok, ,,, It feels like we haven't stopped in so long. We just want a few days of nothingness. We need that so much! Weekends are too short!! We have holidays in 8 weeks, and are very much looking forward to it!! (Not that we are counting!)
Bottom line, we are good! Healthy, happy and still having fun!
