February 2nd - 4th: Weekend on the Eastern Seaboard - Pattaya

We decided to take a short road trip to Pattaya, on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, which turns out to be about a two hour drive from where we're at. We got to the resort of Friday night and stayed until Sunday noonish. From there we drove around town a bit, went for lunch in a mexican restaurant in a sketchy part of town, and then drove home. It turned out to be a real nice and relaxing weekend at the resort, but the sight of the public beach downtown Pattaya, which is quite well known for it's red light district, made us glad we stayed in a resort!!
Jacqui's return to work was fine. She ended up getting a lot of presents for Valentine's Day from her students and their parents (and yes, she got something from me too!!)

Every room has a balcony; great!

I've always loved boats in the sun when there is shade all around it!
