June 12 - 16: Adelaide, Australia

We had a morning flight from Melbourne to Adelaide on Tuesday morning, and met our niece Stephanie and her boyfriend Craig for dinner at a restaurant near our hotel. It was very nice to see them both again, as we hadn't seen them since last September.

We went on a wine tour on Wednesday, in the Barossa Valley. We visited the Seppeltsfield winery, where they had a bottle of 100 years old Port, then the Wolf Blass winery, where we had lunch, and then ended up in the village of Hahndorf, a quaint little place with lots of little shops to visit.

We rented a car on Thursday and drove back to the Barossa valley, driving by Jacob's Creek, to go visit the Grant Burge winery. We had lunch there then headed towards the coast to go to the beach (about 12 degrees, windy as hell!); needless to say, parking was not a problem! We did however come across eucalyptus trees along the way, but didn't see any koalas in them.

We spent most of Friday with Steph and Craig. They took us to the Cleland Wildlife Park, where animals are not in a cage as such (they are in an enclosed environment, but it is very large); we fed kangaroos and pet koalas. It was pretty cool!

100 hundred years old (the port in the bottle, not Jacqui)

We haven't seen fall colours in five years. It is so nice to see!

Nice wall!!

Love wine from this winery!

And this one too!

This one isn't too shabby as well!!
