California November 2nd - 16th: Carlsbad and San Diego

Wednesday November 14th: We drove down the highway to go to Carlsbad, as opposed to taking the scenic route which would have taken at least twice as long (over 4 hours instead of 2). After checking in, we drove to San Diego to visit the zoo. It is a very nice zoo! We then drove around the downtown area for a bit before going back to Carlsbad, where we had another seafood dinner.

Thursday, November 15th: We spent some time by the pool and then just hung around Carlsbad. It is a quaint little town, with lots of nice shops and restaurants. One interesting thing that we saw in Carlsbad is pedestrian crossing at street corners. All traffic is stopped in every directions and pedestrians can safely cross the street, even diagonnally. It is brilliant!

Friday, November 16th: Time to go home. We packed our bags in the morning, drove to San Diego airport, dropped off our rental car then boarded a plane for Toronto, where snow was waiting for us.

Highway LA to San Diego - 6 lanes wide each way!
I think I know someone who would go for "Peanut Butter Cup Porter"
Cheers

They look so much better in the Wild, in Tanzania

Pedestrian crossing, so neat; we should adopt that!
Our last picture of the seaside! (for now!!!)
