Friday, January 3rd - Kids flying back home

Note to readers : the blogs for December 27th through 30th have now been posted. Since they appear in a chronological order, you will have to go back to read them, if you wish. The blogs for the other days of the safari will be posted soon, as I fell behind in my writing due to lack of Internet while on the safari. I will also be posting pictures of the safari with every blog posted in the near future.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of us slept about 4 hours, before getting up around 9 am. Julie, Nicolas and Vincent left by cab for the airport at 11; they'll have another long day as they have a 3 hour flight to Cairo, followed by a 9 hour layover before finally flying to Toronto (about a 12 hour flight). They will get in around 6h30 Saturday morning, then the boys will drive back to Guelph and Waterloo while Julie will take another plane to Ottawa. It was very nice to have them here for the holidays. Our safari trip was very special. It was a little hard (a lot hard) to watch them go. We'll miss being with them again for a few more months. Here are a few pictures from our safari. Enjoy!

Hey Jul, what do you see?
Zebras grazing
Giraffe eating leaves of a small tree
Two female ostriches and one male (black feathers)

Yes, we are that close!

Herd of wildebeast

Elephants crossing the road
Getting ready for dinner (the beer is called Kilimanjaro)
