Saturday, April 12th - Vive les Brits!

Another nice quiet week gone by in Kuwait. Jacqui finished work on Thursday; she's now off for two weeks for Easter Holiday/Spring Break. I still work this week but I'll be off as well next week. Jacqui will be tutoring one kid for 2 hours a day from Saturday to Thursday. It will give her a little something to do!

We went to the Palms for a couple of hours on Friday. It was cloudy but still pretty warm (28-29 degrees - we'll be in the mid 30's later on this week). On Friday night, we went to the British Embassy. They had two bands playing for the evening. They were also serving our favorite teas and flavored water, and unlike our Canadian Embassy where the limit is 2, they have a limit of 9 per person. They also had food that you cannot get on the other side of the wall - ribs, sausages, ... It was a very nice evening; it felt "normal" - listening to music in a park atmosphere with something cold in your hand, understanding the language that people around you use, seeing basically westerners and Brits around you ... it was a lot of fun!

Saturday was pretty quiet - Jacqui tutoring, doing groceries and Skyping with family.
By this time next week, we'll be in London. There might be one more blog entry before we leave.
