Our days at
school are starting to be a little more routine: teach, have meetings, prep and
mark stuff (pretty usual for any teacher). Afterschool, Jacqui went out to try
to find a bookstore close to our apartment. She did find the place; it had a
sign indicating that the “hours of opening” were from 5 pm to 10pm. So
obviously, at 5:30 when she was there, the place wasn’t open yet. She waited a bit,
then just gave up and came back home She was a little frustrated and had to be
reminded that this is the Middle East; those things happen!
