Sunday, September 1st - O Canada

Today was Jacqui's first day with students. She almost had a full class as 23 of them showed up (out of 27). It was quite nice to hear the canadian anthem being played during the morning procedures. She had a decent day, even though she still isn't as organized as she'd like to be. She has to keep reminding herself (I do too) that things here will never be like they were at St-Noel Chabanel (and they're not supposed to be). She stayed after school for an extra hour; I came home. When she got back, we went ... shopping (who would've guessed) and then out for dinner at a restaurant at Al Kout mall.

Fountains (can you hear the music?) at Al Kout mall.
We had the "pleasure" of experiencing for the first time since we've been here Kuwait humidity today. Yuk. We thought we'd get a break as temperatures dropped down to the low 40's, but now it's humid. So it's still hot, and muggy on top of that. Keep that AC running! It will be an early night tonight; getting up at 5 am will require some getting used to.
